Every home exterior project we complete is backed by two separate layers of warranty protection: the manufacturer’s product warranty and Glacier Home Exteriors’ workmanship warranty. This page spells out exactly what is covered, for how long, and what to do if you ever need service.
When you hire Glacier, your investment is protected in two ways:
These two warranties work together. A manufacturer warranty does not cover installation errors; our workmanship warranty does. Together, they give you end-to-end protection.
Beyond the manufacturer’s product warranty, every installation we perform is backed by our own written workmanship warranty. This covers our labor and installation quality.
The workmanship warranty is provided in writing as part of your contract. A copy stays with your file; you get a copy at project close-out.
Transparency matters. Here is what warranties do not cover:
If you think you have a warranty issue, here is exactly what to do:
This is a key advantage of using a full-service installer. If you used a handyman who is out of business, you would be filing the manufacturer claim yourself and paying another contractor to do the repair. With Glacier, one call handles everything.
Yes. Your original contract includes the specific workmanship warranty terms for your project, signed by both parties. Ask for a copy if you ever need it.
The manufacturer warranty on your materials stays in place regardless — those are backed by GAF, Anlin, James Hardie, and Sherwin-Williams directly. For workmanship issues, our Elite Preferred and Certified Dealer status with each manufacturer means they can connect you with another qualified installer in their network.
Roofing and siding workmanship warranties are transferable to the next homeowner one time at no cost. Window workmanship warranty is tied to the original installation and does not transfer. Manufacturer warranties vary; most roofing products are transferable.
Non-prorated means 100% coverage for the full term. Limited/prorated means coverage decreases over time (e.g., 80% covered in year 10, 50% in year 20). We push for non-prorated coverage whenever available, which is why we recommend GAF System Plus or Owens Corning Platinum for roofing.
Absolutely. We email a sample contract with warranty terms before you commit to anything. Transparency is standard.
Yes. Storm damage is typically covered by your homeowner’s insurance, not the manufacturer or workmanship warranty. We work directly with your insurance company — including inspection, documentation, and claim support — at no extra cost.
We send warranty terms with every estimate. Request a sample contract before you commit.
