One continuous lap of the house. The only thing that really matters is that the roofline and the ground stay in the picture the whole time.

This is the framing we need

Notice the roof edge stays near the top of the picture and the grass stays near the bottom. That is the whole trick — if we can see both, we can measure.

Start at the front-left corner

Stand back far enough that you can see the roofline and the ground at the same time — usually 15 to 25 feet from the wall.

Walk the whole way around

Across the front, down the right side, along the back, up the left side, and finish where you started. Walk slowly and keep filming the whole time.

Pause on anything you care about

It is fine to stop and pan back to a window you want us to look at. If something is fogged, stuck or draughty, point the camera at it.

One tip that saves a re-film: set your camera to 1080p rather than 4K before you start. The video sends far quicker and we can see everything we need either way.
